Puerto Vallarta Forecast

Puerto Vallarta’s climate is typically Tropical with pronounced wet and dry seasons. Sudden monsoon-like rains and thunder storms can occur from July through September, normally for only a few hours in the evenings.

The average daily high temperature is 86 °F (30 °C); average daily low temperature is 70 °F (21 °C); average daily humidity is 75%.

August is the city’s wettest month and February, March and April are the months with the least cloud cover.

Because the prevailing winds are from the southwest over the high mountains of Cabo Coriente, even during the summer rain season Puerto Vallarta’s weather tends to be mild compared to other areas along the Mexican Pacific coast. Hurricanes, for the same reason, are very rare.
